Michelle Bibich
Michelle is the Principal of Morgan Middle School and joined the board in 2022. Bio and photo to follow.
Mary Gordon
Mary joined the board in 2011 and is a graduate of Ellensburg High School and Washington State University. Her passion for children led to a teaching degree and as a mom, many hours logged in classrooms as a parent volunteer. Mary currently coordinates Caring Cupboard, chairs the annual fundraiser, and lends her technology skills to the Foundation’s new website. In addition to her role with ESDEF, Mary sits on the board for the Gretchen Weller Foundation providing support to Kittitas Valley residents facing a cancer diagnosis. Mary works part time at Ellensburg Pasta Company and enjoys traveling with her husband Steve, mostly to visit their 3 grown kids and grandchildren as often as they can.
Mike McCloskey
Mike McCloskey is a founding member of the Ellensburg School District Education Foundation and has been on its board since 2001. He has been employed by the Ellensburg School District since 1984 as a bus driver, paraprofessional, teacher, and most recently as the manager of the Morgan Performing Arts Center. During the summers he can be found working on the side of Interstate 90 managing crews for the Washington State Department of Ecology’s Youth Corps. In his spare time he enjoys traveling, volunteering, and creating stained glass decor.
Maureen Rust
Maureen joined the ESDEF board in January, 2017 and is a graduate of Morgan Middle School and Ellensburg High School. She is proud she was raised in a family that made quality public education a priority. She is currently a librarian at the James E. Brooks Library at Central Washington University. Her specific responsibilities, in addition to research and instruction, are Student Engagement and Community Outreach. Maureen says being a board member of the ESDEF is one of the highlights of her community life. She works with an intelligent, caring, and resourceful board members to provide funding and opportunities to our educators, students, and schools, opportunities that are not covered by the school district budget.
Dick Wedin
Dick has been on the Board since the Foundation’s inception back in the fall of 2001. Since that time, he has served in several officer positions over the years and currently is the Foundation Treasurer. A three time retired member of the Ellensburg School Board, Dick has a passion for education and helping all students succeed. Dick also serves as a volunteer for the Kittitas County 4H program and has been prominent in establishing the local 4H Endowment.
